Honoring a Legacy: The John Wheless Memorial Golf Classic Raises Over $20,000 for Community Healthcare (Shreveport, LA)

The 2nd Annual John Wheless Memorial Golf Classic, hosted by SRES agent Jackson Wheless, celebrated the legacy of his father while raising over $20,000 for St. Luke’s Episcopal Mobile Medical Ministry. Held on November 12, 2024, at Querbes Park Golf Course, the tournament brought together players, sponsors, and community members to support St. Luke’s mission of delivering compassionate, mobile healthcare to underserved areas in Northwest Louisiana.

Sealy Real Estate Services (SRES) proudly participated as a Bronze Sponsor, purchased a secondary team, and provided in-kind donations to ensure the event’s success. Seven SRES team members, including President Mark Sealy and CEO James Cook, joined other participants to honor John Wheless’s memory and his passion for both golf and community service.

“The John Wheless Memorial Golf Classic brings my long-time vision to life, honoring my dad's passion for golf and his tireless support of St. Luke's Episcopal Mobile Medical Ministry,” said Jackson Wheless. “It’s a meaningful way to celebrate his legacy while giving back to the community he cared for deeply.”

St. Luke’s Episcopal Mobile Medical Ministry, a 501(c)(3) organization, provides free preventive care, health education, and referrals through its fully equipped medical RV, ensuring access to healthcare for underserved communities across Northwest Louisiana.
