SRES Agents Contribute to Major Medical Development

The Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital started 2022 off with its ribbon-cutting ceremony late last month. The news of breaking ground was released back in the Summer of 2020. Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital’s location is among one of the recent developments in the Alexandrine Place project near the busy Fern Avenue/ E 70th Street intersection.

There has been immense growth within the corridor since the fruition of the project back in 1999. Jo Ann Wheless of Sealy Real Estate Services (SRES) has been with the project since the beginning and has helped procure the success that the area has seen over the years.

“It’s rewarding to see all the hard work for both this project and the surrounding community come to life and continue to flourish. What started out as 150-acres planned development is now a central corridor of the Shreveport area, and only 14.39 acres of vacant land remain for sale. The recent opening of the Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital demonstrates just how successful the project has been” says JoAnn.

In an earlier release, Nobis Rehabilitation Partners announced the goal of the project, “The patients with debilitating illnesses and injuries such as stroke and brain injury, as well as other complex neurological and orthopedic diseases and injuries, will be cared for under the management of Nobis Rehabilitation Partners. A comprehensive team of physicians and therapists will customize each patient’s intensive rehab program with an interdisciplinary rehab team approach during their inpatient stay.”

The hospital will serve as a resource for patients needing inpatient rehabilitation services in the greater Shreveport, Northwest Louisiana, East Texas, and Southern Arkansas region.

“After a thorough analysis of the Shreveport market, we believe the support for an inpatient rehab facility in this community is warranted and we are excited to serve the community and local health systems in Shreveport,”said  Chester Crouch, CEO and Founder of Nobis Rehabilitation Partners.

Late last month JoAnn Wheless, alongside KSLA News 12 and the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, were all in attendance to support this prosperous accomplishment for the Shreveport area and Alexandrine Place at the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital announced on it’s Facebook on January 27, 2022:

“WE ARE OPEN!  After all the planning, building and design, hiring, orientation and surveys, we are admitting our first patient this am.”

“The new development of Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital adds economic value to both the location and community by providing both medical employment opportunities and rehabilitation services outside of major medical hospitals.” Adds Jackson Wheless, SRES co-listing agent on the Alexandrine Place project.

SRH announced late last month, “We are preparing to accept our first patients once the final paperwork process is completed.  New rehabilitation hospital caring for those who have experienced a life-changing injury or illness that requires intense inpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy from a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians and support staff.” For more information on the new Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital located at 1451 Fern Circle, visit their website or Facebook.
