Sealy Celebrates: Fall Season & The Rise of Women
With October comes many reasons to celebrate. The 45th annual Red River Revel commenced earlier this month. It’s been two years since Shreveport-Bossier hosted the annual event, as last year’s pandemic didn’t allow for the festival to take place. The Revel brings significant tourism for the Shreveport-Bossier area, as well as produces additional economic impact through featuring local artisans and organizations. Sealy & Company employees attended the annual event together as they enjoyed lunch, team building, and supported local artists and organizations.
The month of October also highlights National Businesswomen’s Week. The observance brings attention to the accomplishments of women in business and looks back at how far women have come since first being given a voice decades ago.
One successful businesswoman celebrates 34 years of accomplishments and success since joining Sealy Real Estate Services (SRES) in 1987. JoAnn Wheless has been presented many notable awards, worked her way to President of the NWLA of Realtors and its commercial divisions; as well as closed many big-name deals with prominent clientele.
“Sealy & Company supports employees, regardless of gender. They continue to present opportunities to the hardest workers who bring innovative solutions to the table. It’s not about being male or female, it’s about who is willing to hustle the hardest, for the bottom-line, the assets, and the investors that entrust this company. You get out of it what you put into it, and JoAnn has demonstrated that a professional approach, determination, and knowledge gained from hard work help to make a name for yourself as a woman no matter what industry you choose”, says a young female employee on JoAnn”
As things progress post-pandemic, it’s nice to stop and admire a strong corporate culture that gives back to employees; further, to say thank you to a company that creates opportunities where hard-working women can continue to grow even after 30+ years. You can contact Joann by clicking here.
