Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital- Soon at Alexandrine Place
SHREVEPORT, LA - A new medical development is coming to Alexandrine Place in Shreveport. Already home to Fern Marketplace (anchored by Whole Foods), At Home, Orr BMW, Origin Bank, and more, Alexandrine Place is pleased to welcome Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital to the development. Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital, a physical and occupational rehabilitation facility, will be located on the 6.2 acres that sit behind Fairfield Market and Café. The project will be developed by WB Development Partners & New Era Companies, and features Nobis Rehabilitation Partners as the operator. The Alexandrine Place Development began with the sale of the corner of E. 70th and Fern Avenue to First Louisiana Bank, now Origin Bank, in 1999. Beginning with 150 acres of vacant land, extending from E. 70th Street to north of Pierremont Place, Alexandrine Place has only 20 acres remaining for development or purchase. JoAnn Wheless, the listing agent of Sealy Real Estate Services, believes that the medical development project will further emphasize the economic impact that the Alexandrine Place development project has made since its beginning over twenty years ago. The healthcare industry is one of the largest employers in North Louisiana and an economic driver for the region. The Shreveport and Monroe metropolitan areas support two medical hubs in North Louisiana, which provide health care for the northern half of the state, east Texas, west Mississippi and southern Arkansas (Source-NLEP). “The new development of Shreveport Rehabilitation Hospital adds economic value to both the location and community by providing both medical employment opportunities and rehabilitation services outside of major medical hospitals,” adds Jackson Wheless, co-listing agent, of Sealy Real Estate Services. Alexandrine Place offers the ideal location for business growth and is within a five (5) mile vicinity of over 9,000 businesses and 121,000 employees.
