Small Business Month: Uptown Center Brand Expansion

Small businesses are a testament to the backbone of economic growth.

During the month of May, we as a nation, recognize and celebrate the courage, community efforts, and hard work of local entrepreneurs that help fuel economic growth.

Local women’s clothing boutique, Isadora Boutique owner, Haley Cordaro, is expanding her brand with the announcement of a new gift shop, Isadora Gifts. It will be located at Uptown Center. On selecting the location, Cordaro says Uptown was the perfect fit with a busy area and lots of foot traffic.

Uptown Center, Shreveport's premier neighborhood attraction, blends shopping, dining, services, and grocery in the preferred Line Avenue destination that appeals to both regional tourists and locals.

Dreamed up by Shreveport natives in the mid-'50s, Uptown Center was an innovation of its time, creating a central shopping destination for the community with national tenants as well as successful small businesses. Since then, Uptown Center has continued to serve as Line Avenue’s preferred neighborhood destination fueling growth and support for both small business owners and local consumers.

There are *32.5 million small businesses in the United States, employing 61.2 million people. These businesses are essential to our daily lives, as well as fundamental to the economic progression of our communities*.

Small businesses provide innovative perspectives to any field. This is because small business owners typically have more direct contact with consumers and the general population. This allows owners to be more attuned to what products and services would best serve the common community and local clientele.

Cordaro is thrilled to launch this new aspect of the Isadora brand by providing clientele with this new branch of retail.

“We’re very excited about the opening and it couldn’t have been possible without strong communal support.” You can find gifts like bags, jewelry, children’s gifts, and home décor when visiting the new Isadora Gifts. Isadora Gifts will be in Suite 4826B, in between Merle Norman and Tuesday Morning. For more information on the opening of Isadora Gifts visit Facebook.
