Academy purchased 7.687 acres of land that will be the future development site for the Shreveport store’s relocation. The development site is located adjacent to the current Shreveport store on East Bert Kouns between St. Vincent Avenue and Interstate-49. Once completed the new store will be 72,000 square feet, about 20,000 square feet larger than the current Shreveport Academy. With a nationally estimated economic growth rate of 36% Shreveport’s unemployment rate is also below the national average promising above-average progression for the area.
